Novelist and Author

The mother of two grown daughters, Louise Lenahan Wallace earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University while raising her daughters, in addition to working full time and pursuing a writing career. 

Her efforts culminated in the successful printing of her first novel, Longing of the Day, published by GRIT and Capper's Fireside Library/Ogden Publications, in 2000. The sequel, Day Star Rising followed in 2001. Her most recent novel, Days of Eternity, published by Treble Heart Publishers, is due out in late 2007.

Louise's first novel, Longing of the Day received a fourth place award in the genre novel category of the Pacific Northwest Writers Competition in 1994.

Other publishing credits by the author include stories in GRIT magazine, "Eight Letters" (July 14, 1996) and a short story/article “Chris’s Legacy of Laughter” that won a Finalist award from the Pacific Northwest Writer’s Contest in 1990.

Louise's short story, "A Faded Card"was chosen as a contribution to Chicken Soup for the Single's Soul, published by Health Communications, Inc. Florida. The story describes a touching "Father's Day" card she received from her two young daughters the first June she faced as a single parent.

In her hometown of Port Angeles, Wash., Louise Lenahan Wallace's credits include: former editor of Footnotes, for the Strait Wheelers square dance club, and 12 years as Publicity Chair for the Clallam County Unit of the American Cancer Society during which the organization's unit won an "Excellence in Action" award for "Public Relations Media."
